I think we have all struggled from time to time to get our runners on and keep it moving regularly. We all have busy lives, so between cleaning the house, cooking, kids, laundry, & everything in between, sometimes it just seems like there is not enough time in the day to do everything, including take time for yourself and keep active.

Since having a baby, we have been stuck in the house as a result of covid. Once summer hit, I have been trying to take advantage of being outdoors & keeping active when possible, even if it means just walking with the baby.

Women in general are under a lot of pressure to juggle everything, but it is so important for our own mental health to take a second (or hour) to just do what we have to do to feel good ourselves. It is completely okay to tell your significant other that you need some me time & be on with it.

Staying active isn't just about weight loss. Keeping active will help you live a longer & happier life since it helps support major organs in our bodies. We don't need to be crossfit guru's or athletes, but keeping somewhat active during each day will go a long way.

Benefits of keeping your body moving:

  • Good for your heart. Moving your body will produce healthy blood flow throughout your entire body.

  • Weight Loss or maintaining a healthy weight.

  • Improves muscle mass.

  • Reduces stress.

  • Increases stamina.

  • Releases endorphins, which makes your mood better.

  • Improves clarity and mental health.

  • Supports your liver- one of the most important organs in your body.

  • Lowers the risk of multiple diseases and illnesses such as Diabetes, fatty liver, high blood pressure & cholesterol.

  • Better posture.

Therefore, "visualize your highest self, & start showing up for her."- unknown
