Strong is the new sexy!! We have all fallen off the bandwagon at one point or another; or maybe we fell off completely and want to get back on. Here are a few tips to help you stay organized and energized!
Keep hydrated. Water fuels your body just as much (if not more) than food. Depending on your body weight, you will need a minimum of 1 ltr of water per day! Find your favourite water bottle & get to sippin'!
Eat simple & healthy foods. Kick the refined sugars to the curb for most of your diet.
Plan workouts- Use that calendar of yours! This will help you stay accountable since it will be at a "scheduled" time of your day.
New workout clothes or new workout shoes just might inspire you to stay on track..... & who doesn't like to shop a little?
Limit alcohol consumption. A glass of red wine a day can be good for heart health, but three whole bottles on the weekend doesn't have the same effect.
Limit caffeine consumption. Caffeine is very dehydrating so for one cup of coffee, you should be drinking a glass of water to stay on top of your hydration.
Meal prep. Start your preps on Sunday nights to prepare you for the week ahead. Not only does this make your life easier after work/school, it keeps you on track to staying healthy.
Keep cut up/washed fruit and veggies in the fridge. These make great grab and go snacks; and as a bonus you will save money since you won't be stopping at a drive through to save your rumbling stomach!
Write down your goals. If your goal is weight loss, then progress photos and measurements will show you your results better than stepping on the scale.
If you're working out, creating the best music playlist will pump you up and keep the vibe going the entire time!
Time is going to pass regardless. You will wildly achieve your goals if you continue on the path you started & don't stop completely. It is okay to eat what you want when you crave something, but the following day you should continue with your healthy ways. Stay positive & remember why you started this routine in the first place.
